Warranty Information

Internet/Mail Order Warranty

Lubee's offers a two year warranty on most products sold through internet or mail order.

Filters, filter elements and filter bowls are an exception, there is no warranty on these items. These items are easily cracked by freezing, sunlight ultra-violet damage and excessive pressure caused by debris build up or pressure switch malfunction.


Plastic anti-siphon valves and plastic anti-siphon valve parts are an exception, there is no warranty on these items, which are easily damaged by freezing, sunlight ultra-violet damage or excessive pressure.


Water pumps are covered by a one year repair or replace (at our disgression) limited warranty. If a pump has been run dry or has been used to pump liquids other than water or water with heavy amounts of particulates causing motor or impeller damage, the warranty will not remain in effect.


Electrical components such as transformers, pressure switches, controller electrical motors, pump start relay switches, well pump control boxes and solenoids are an exception, there is no warranty on these items. These items are easily damaged by electrical surges or fluctuations, nearby lightning activity, or incorrect wiring.

Valve diaphragms are not returnable and are therefore not covered by warranty, because of the difficulty in determining if the product returned has been used or not.


Special Order items and Water Pumps are returnable only under actual warranty claim situations and procedures.

Returns:

IMPORTANT: All returns must be sent to our internet facility and warehouse located at 15141 Garson Loop, Spring Hill, Florida 34610. We are equipped to quickly evaluate and respond to warranty submissions at our Spring Hill facility.

A 20% testing and restocking fee is charged for non-defective eligible products returned simply because the product wasn't needed, without reimbursement of shipping charges. When people return items, they often don't consider the labor time, office processing cost and packaging materials going into their original order or the labor time and office processing costs involved in returns and some may feel our 20% restocking fee is unjustified. We apologize for this situation, but it is necessary if we are to continue selling irrigation products for the lowest prices on the web.
In irrigation, product performance is tied to many factors such as water pressure, water volume, area of coverage, proper equipment specification, correct installation, proper adjustment, etc., etc. These factors preclude a policy of completely unlimited, unrestricted returns. We are liberal on our return policy; and if something is genuinely defective, we accept your return without question and repair or replace your product immediately and we reimburse your return shipping charges. Products returned in damaged condition or products that have been used are not eligible for return or credit.

Warranty Claim Procedure:
Customers should keep Lubee's original shipping container until sure product(s) received are not defective.
Claims for damage incurred during transport should be immediately reported to the transporter.
We provide a credit for your cost in shipping actually defective products back to us, based upon least expensive shipping method, usually U.S. Mail, Parcel Post. You can E-mail or call us to let us know what the problem is with the product. When it arrives at our facilities, we will test for defects and within 3 days will either ship you a replacement, return your repaired product or inform you by E-mail that the product is not defective. If the product is determined to have been used, has been damaged or is not defective, we do charge shipping cost to return ship the item back to the customer.
Any non-defective item which in our judgement appears to have been used or installed, will not be accepted for restocking consideration and customer will be offered the option of paying for us to return ship the product(s).

Upon customer request, we will ship a replacement product immediately upon notification by customer of a defective product, before going through any inspection procedures, if customer authorizes us by email to charge their original charge card for the replacement product plus regular shipping charges if customer warranty claim on the product is rejected for cause or the defective product is not received by us within 14 days.

Generally we have little or no problem with warranty returns. Although we occasionally do see sprinkler heads returned for warranty claim that are just packed full of mud, timers with broken gearing from being turned backwards or pumps with clogged intakes or that have been damaged by incorrect wiring or have been run without prime. Warranty claim is then denied and the customer given the option of paying the return shipping charges. If you plan on sending us a return, please examine it carefully to see if the product may not be damaged, installed incorrectly, broken, or may just be dirty, rather than defective. If the product really is defective, you will find our response to your warranty request will be quite prompt. Your new or repaired product will be shipped out within 3 days of receiving your return.

We feel the above return guidelines are fair to everyone, while preventing our valued customers from having to pay prices inflated by a return policy that generates needless overhead by encouraging returns of non-defective merchandise.
