Rainbird - We Repair RC4bi, RC7bi and RC1260bi Controllers

The Rainbird RC Series controllers were discontinued last year and we know of no source left for purchase, but repair of your RC Series controller is a very viable option.

Note - we still have several like-new rebuilt RC4 Bi, RC7 Bi and RC1260 Bi controllers still in stock.

We expertly and quickly repair all RC Series Rainbird Controllers, including the RC4bi, RC7bi, RC1260bi, RC4, RC7, RC1260, RC4C, RC7C and RC1260C Controllers.

Our repairs are designed to essentially rebuild your Rainbird RC Series controller.

Your controller is first inspected for any cracked, mal-functioning, or stripped nylon gears. Next, any defective or malfunctioning gears are replaced, then your  controller is connected to our monitor-light bench panel and all electrical circuitry, micro-switches, mechanical switches, rotary switch, gearing and both timing and advance motors are checked for correct operation, with motors also checked for resistance.

Once any defective items are replaced, then your controller is given a final bench test  and adjustment on the bench check panel and programmed to trigger and actually run through all it's watering stations utilizing monitor lights to assure the controller is operating properly and will water through all cycles essentially to the same performance and reliability level enjoyed and expected from a new RC Series Controller.

When we are done, your controller will operate as it did when new, and there is no reason not to expect many future years of reliable service from it. The RC Series controllers were one of the best built and most dependable controllers ever produced and are well worth the repair cost. The lightning-resistance of this excellent mechanical operated controller has been replaced by digital controllers that are harder to program and subject to damage from lightning surges and near-by lightning strikes.

We offer a one year limited warranty on all parts replaced and labor we perform during the repair. Subsequent failure of parts not replaced during repair or as a result of outright damage (such as gears damaged by forcing main dial backwards) is not covered by our warranty. However, your Bench Check fee warranty is always extended unconditionally and without restriction for one full year.

Basic charge for the Bench Check and all labor involved in the repair is $32.50, plus cost of any parts needed to accomplish the repair of your controller. Cost of replacement parts installed is $41 for a Timing or Advance Motor, $18.50 for a Main Timing Gear Assembly, 16.50 for any Sub-Gear Assembly, 12.49 for a Micro-Switch. Controllers examined and found to be repairable under the above guidlines for parts and pricing will be considered customer authorized and immediately repaired without additional customer consultation. You will be notified immediately upon repairs completion by phone.

Controllers evaluated and found to require additional or extensive repairs beyond the standard repairs listed in the above guidelines, will not be repaired without prior customer consultation and specific authorization.

Average cost of repairs for most controllers runs between $75 and $135, plus $12.00 return shipping charge.

Our repairs are one day-in-and-out. Your repaired controller will be ready for return shipment to you one working day after we receive your controller.
