33DNP - Three-Quarter Inch Female Standard Pipe Thread NPT Inlet with 2 slots, a rugged two piece body and a purple (non-potable water) spring loaded locking cover. Note - photo shows the top view of the valve cover, looking down on valve from above. Locking mechanism is in center of cover. The visible square brass lug accepts the cover locking key (sold seperately) to lock and unlock the cover.
The basic difference between this 33DNP model and the 33DLRC model is the Purple (non-potable water) Locking Cover on this 33DNP model. Otherwise, performance is essentially the same. A locking cover means there is actually a key required to unlock the cover in order to operate the quick coupler valve.
This is the heavy-duty 33DNP model three-quarter inch Quick Coupling Valve with Purple Locking Cover for non-potable water applications (only). It will accept the Hunter HK-33, Rainbird 33K, Rainbird 33DK, Toro 463-01 or Buckner QB33K07 Quick Coupler Keys and also requires a seperate (sold seperately) Hunter HLK, Rainbird 2049, Toro 491-02 or Buckner TLK Locking Cover Key to lock and unlock the cover in order to operate this quick coupler valve.
This conforms with regulations in many states requiring that quick coupler valves used for non-potable water applications must have a locking cover.
Rainbird Quick Coupler components and keys are fully compatible and completely interchangeable with Hunter, Toro and Buckner quick coupler systems.
