Lakos SMP-10 Stainless Steel three-quarter inch inlet and outlet Sand Separator. For use with flow rates of 10-20 gallons per minute water flow. A Lakos Sand Separator uses the centrifugal action of spinning the water to force particulates outward and then down into a holding chamber. This an excellent product and when installed correctly, does an amazing job with sand and other particulate removal, while eliminating need to change or clean filter screens or cartridges. The three-quarter inch version is designed to seperate sand in a situation calling for a water flow of 10-20 gallons per minute and would be the model for mgeneral use  applications.

Alternatively, the one inch version is designed for use in applications where the water flow is 19-32 gallons per minute, so is usually more appropriate for use with an irrigation system that has a 2 horsepower or larger pump.
